Updates.....

After a few years, I'm beginning to make plans to
repair, and improve a few areas on Old Yeller.

Old Yeller- at Atlanta Motor Speedway-August 2010

I've already begun improvements on the 1776cc engine, that have included new - reworked 041 heads with increased valve sizes. I am going to be adding some other bolt on goodies, to improve the performance a little more too. I have also repainted the engine tins with a rivited sheetmetal look. I have begun cleaning up the wiring  system, by getting the wires matched to the original colors and soldering the connections throughout the car.

The body and paint have taken a lot of abuse, but my original body and paint work have held up surprisingly well considering all the car has been through. Very little rust has returned.  But new changes are in the works, and I am collecting all the parts I will be needing during the fall and winter months.
These will include-
1)  grafting a new nose assembly onto her
2) adding new old style front fenders and lights
3)  2" wider rear fenders, and fat tires(!)
4)  bumpers
5) shaved  front and rear hoods
6) shaving the side trim and adding many airbrushed touches all around.

There are many other items on the car that will be getting attention, too many to list now, but by the spring of '11, I hope to have her looking and performing more like her old self, or better!
I'll keep you posted on the progress.
